Towncraft has a new Minecraft Host

What do you mean Towncraft has moved?

Well, it was supposed to be a secret but because sometimes DNS servers can take a while to update with some Internet Service Providers, I had to let the cat out of the bag.

I have changed the IP behind the scenes for PLAY.TOWNCRAFT.US, but if you’re seeing a giant yellow “SERVER HAS MOVED” message, then your provider hasn’t updated yet and you will need to go to our new IP directly at 198.154.103.114.

If you see the normal “Towncraft 1.6.4” message on your server screen, then your ISP has already updated.

Using the numbers above is only temporary, and you will be able to go back to using the IP PLAY.TOWNCRAFT.US as soon as your Internet Provider updates their DNS settings.

Our new Minecraft host has their datacenter in Dallas, Texas in the United States. That means better pings and less lag!

All of our files are copied over so you’ll pick up right where you left off.

See you in Dallas… er… Towncraft!
